Wofford 2 GA State 1

In yet another overtime game Armin Kinigadner scored the game winner in the first overtime at GA State on Saturday night. That pushes our record in overtimes this year to 3-0-3. The first goal was scored in the 13th minute by Yakov Rubinchik. GA State would equalize in the 32nd minute. We would like to thank the crowd who once again came out and supported us on the road.

Remember that Friday, Nov. 13th the Southern Conference tournament will be held here at Wofford. Admission is 5 for adults and 3 for children. Friday's ticket will get you into both the 5pm and 7:30pm game. Wofford will be playing the 7:30pm game against the 4th seed (TBD). We played to a 2-2 tie tonight against the Spartans from UNCG. We stared off the scoring at the 14th minute mark on a one time volley from Kentrell Owens who was played in behind on a wonderful chip by Yakov Rubinchik. The second goal came around the 30 minute mark off a cross from Moe Kellie that then bounced around the box. After a few shots and a couple by Wilson Hood, Branson Hyatt found himself on the end of a Greensboro save and finished the opportunity to make it 2-0 Wofford. UNCG made it 2-1 7 minutes in to the second halve. After a couple chances by both teams, Greensboro found themselves on the end of a second service that turned into a flick header that tied the score at 2-2.

We are proud of the boys for some exciting and quality soccer and look forward to our next game, away against NC State on Tuesday night.

USC Spring Game Highlights

Here is a one minute video of three clips from the first period of the USC spring game. The first two clips are from USC. The third clip shows a goal kick that almost results in a through ball in to Goal. The play is set up from some quality pressure from Bryan Eddy.




I will try to get some more clips up by Thursday.

New Update

We will be updating with highlights from our USC spring game by Friday of next week. We have begun to start putting some clips together from the game. Hope to have a short clip up by Tuesday and a couple more by Thursday. We will definitely have a clip of Yakov's chance on goal.
